Roman, Emily, and I took a trip to Marsh Creek State park to take pictures of the sunrise. Although the shot was largely unsuccessful, I thought it would be helpful to review what went right and what went wrong (hence this video).
Some things to remember:
- Dress for the weather
- Bring all the equipment you need
- Think about exposure
- Experiment with new angles and perspectives to enhance composition
- Scout out the area before hand (to know where the sun will rise/set, and to assess whether you have a good vantage point from which to take pictures)
- Even if you don’t feel like you got any good pictures from a photoshoot, it’s awesome that you still got out there and that you can learn from your mistakes
