In this video, Connor reviews the way he take pictures and edits them to achieve a minimalistic feel. This review is a screencast of Adobe Photoshop CS5.1, however, the techniques used can be applied to a variety of other photo editing softwares that allow a “clone stamp” funciton in particular.
-Think about strong and simple composition while taking the picture
-Include a level of detail or something curious in your picture to keep things interesting
-Try to line everything up as well as you can while taking the picture
-If everything is not lined up straight out of camera, use distortion correction tools
-Use clone stamps and content aware fills to play with negative space and symmetry (if either of those would produce a desired visual effect)
